Currently, Sunrover Tours hold one of the most extensive government permits for tours on Fraser Island. Our itinerary is very flexible and we are able to travel to most locations on the island which gives us the option of modifying tours to suit weather conditions or cater to special interest and large group bookings. The itinerary listed in this document is what we will follow on our 2 day tours unless we have very severe weather / tides that make it impossible to reach all locations.

This tour is perfect for those who are young or still young at heart. Our drivers will be encouraged to create a friendly and casual atmosphere in the vehicle and although an extensive commentary will be provided it will be presented in a fun and lighthearted manner. We want to teach our guests as much as possible about the wonders of nature on Fraser Island and we love teaching people about why Fraser Island is such a unique ecosystem. However, we promise to never make it boring.

All of our vehicles have ipod/mp3 cables or FM transmitters so that our guests can listen to music while we travel on the island. All groups will be encouraged to have fun, interact with each other, play music in the car, play games on the beach and relax. This is a great tour for those who want to do more than get out of a vehicle to take a picture and then move on to another location.

Our tour covers a great range of locations on the Island but we plan our trips in such a way that clients should never feel rushed or short of time. This comes down to the careful planning that our drivers carry out for each tour. Our camp does not require setting up and we pack all of our supplies into the vehicles before meeting our guests. We do not require pre-trip meetings or for guests to go shopping before the tour starts. Guests just need to meet us at the specified time and place and we will get onto the Island as quickly as possible.

Our Camp

Our campsite is located at Dilli Village which is situated on the eastern beach of Fraser Island. Being based at Dilli Village gives us many advantages. It is only a very short walk to the beach and the campsite is permanently set up which means that we do not have to waste time setting up tents and other camping equipment. The whole campsite is covered in lush green grass which minimises annoying sand in the tent and the entire area is maintained by a full time groundskeeper. All of our tents are undercover which means if it rains we can guarantee guests will not get wet while sleeping.

Don't like Camping?

No problem!!

Our guests also have the option of staying in cabins located within our campsite. This option can be chosen at the time of booking and cabins are available in twin and quad share configuration. All guests who choose to stay in a cabin remain with the camping group at all times and still have the opportunity to socialize and sit around the campfire at night. All cabins are supplied with clean blankets and sheets.
